How this site collects and uses data.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to count visits. It sets a cookie and tells us which pages are read, roughly where readers are, and what brought them here. We look at totals only and do not use it to identify anyone. There is no advertising on this site, and the ad-related parts of Google’s tag are switched off permanently.
If you decline, Google’s script is never loaded and no cookie is set. The site works the same either way.
We ask again after six months. To change your answer sooner, clear this site's data in your browser — the question comes back, and declining deletes the cookies the tag set.
